My trimmer seems to be pulling my hair instead of cutting it. Does this mean I need new blades?
When the blades start pulling hair, the first thing you should try is applying two drops of lubricating oil to the blades and trying to cut again. (The oil lubricates the blades and allows them to operate at the correct speed, ensuring a better cut. It also helps the trimmer run cooler.) If your trimmer blades are still pulling hair, you will need to replace them or, alternatively, sharpen them.
